it's almost like fingers running down your sides
almost but not quite
it's almost like fingers in your hair
comforting and kind
calming and gentle caresses that hold you close
almost but not quite
it's almost like a laugh that rings bright
so bright and so loud that it hurts your ears
like bells
church bells or wedding bells or maybe chimes
no, that's it
it's a laugh like wind chimes in the summer breeze
and for a second you aren't alone
almost but not quite
it's almost like falling asleep after a long day
or reading your favorite book and pretending you don't know how it ends
or curling up on the couch under a blanket
it's almost like spring
you think
it's almost like being held
it's almost like being loved
it's almost like coming home

I really loved this. It spoke to me. You have a great way with words and it was really incredible how hooked I got on the first line. My attention caught immediately.
