Lady At The Gates

There she stands at her sanctuary
She fought so hard to get here
So many perils on the way
But she always had no fear
She was told she'd never make it
Running through the woods
Straying away from her flock
Away from all the fools
A spell is cast on her feeble flesh
She escapes the realm of sheep
She had no money and no food
Now she is her own to keep
Broken from the chains of herds
She feels her body crumble
No more use for fleshy forms
Living lights of energy so humble
Sweet freedom of the stone tower
A statue of live energy
There were none is the norm she came from
She was stuck within a death spiral
She chose better for herself
All she needed was the courage to turn away
