The Subterranean
" just because we want doesn't mean we deserve"
my dungeon...my temple
welcome to the basement of my soul
where the building blocks of my being are reinforced
..my resolve solidified
where the dingy dank and brooding atmosphere
conjures up the hunter-seeker in me
here to embark on yet another journey
in my quest for fire
to reach my higher self..in this place
i must be convicted
committed to go lower and dig deep
revel in the reservoir of pain
yes..pain
the rogue scion of my goddess
Sweet Inspiration
that dwells at the dark end of the spectrum
the crucible of life
the catalyst of the paradigms
the nexus point of change
the stage where drama of the mind
meets trauma of the bod..
the gods are watching for sure
the iron maiden is waiting
taunting me...challenging me
calling me out to the center of the Coliseum
"WHERE IS THY WARRIOR?"
i enter
naked in sheer will
Gift
Of
Divinity
the GOD particle
dusted from the stars
reigning down unfiltered
through customized commandments
intent
devotion
respect
submission
channeled through sweat and acid
through blood and oxygen
i put all my conversion theories to the test
through sublime struggle of the soul
with rusty unforgiving steel sharpening my steel
augmenting fortitude needed to tear and rebuild sinew
renew through mass destruction
with tales from the mud
this is MAN
under construction
building from foundation up
my unyielding mountain climber in high gear
abandoning fear..looking only upward
through the lense of
self visualization
as eye imagine myself arisen from the abyss
at the zenith of the day's promise
galvanized from the core
fully connected..fully activated
as the fire sought
burns vibrantly throughout my aura

Potent and powerful piece, speaking of strength of character, depth and vulnerability. Willingness to expose the weak side to hone it into something stronger and more beautiful. Very beautiful introspective and empowering write here.
A unique and very powerful poem! The first I've read of you. Normally, I don't care for lengthy poems, however I was hooked from the very start. I can't remember ever reading a poem quite as intriguing as this one. To my RL it goes. I applaud you!
