We chose
what we thought
we wanted
we didn't choose
what we needed
we chose
their beliefs
that crippled
our life's dreams
and now we wonder
on a road of deceit
that was dictated

to see the path

I liked it a lot, perhaps, more than a lot. Excellent, smooth form and clarity in presenting difficult and complex questions. The dichotomy of want and need, I'm not sure that it's not really our own construct... Who really determines what our needs truly are and how/why should they be considered different than our needs? Perhaps, we choose to be dictated than to to risk an alternate way. I think is very refreshing that you deal poetically with these kind of issues.

being a simple man I think simple thoughts so my simple belief's dictate to me that only empathy and logical commonsense has the right to dictate to me how I should think thank you for reading
