The sound of Solitude

The music to my heart has sung  
Lost upon the winds of change
Thru years of hope and pain  
Thru ears of heartless dames  
Then dragged thru dirt and mud  
 
My heart has sung its song  
Thru these hollow lungs
 Written in a vilified soul
Passed to heavy head  
 
Depression lingers on the peripheral edge  
It was predestined
But the emotions still dig sinking their claws in  
 
Like a monster inside trying to break thru his ribs  
It needs escape far away
Away from you and all the fake  
It needs solitude so it can breath  
 
Exhale you and all the dreams  
All the stress all the pain
Inhaling truth breathing in hope  
Centering my being so I don't have to choke  
Body swinging neck tied to a rope  
With a note barely readable saying life is a joke  
 
My heart has sung its song  
Lost in the void where lost dreams stay  
Where hopes and wishes lay
Where all your prays deacy  
 
A black hole filled with lost wishes  
A desolate empty place filled with self-loathing  
 
That place you stay inside your head
 when the world is smashing  down on you
 and your begging for death
 
A place of guilt and regret  
Of memories of what if  
Words that were never said  
Choices never made  
Opportunity's never had
 
A place where all is lost  
A place I'm going to fast  
I feel it in my bones and deep in my soul
 
Its Breaking me in and I'm gonna give  
Then crawl inside this hole I've made  
Letting the darkness flood in  
To cover me from the light  
That tricks and lies  
 
The darkness is my home  
Here where I'm numb and cold  
I should've known
 I don't belong out there in the light  
That's not my life  
I'm better off here alone  
In the darkness of night .
