Scarlet Sunrise

The inner light with which her warm soul glows
Explodes above her eyes like a blooming red rose
Dancing 'til dawn under a sky full of radiant stars
On a world of ginger and spice known to Aries as Mars
Lovely to see along-side the morning surprise
But no sailors need warn of her scarlet sunrise
This phoenix will never meet with a fiery demise
For this shooting star will always continue to rise
Gravity will fail to make her shower transform to rain
Then I saw fire in her eyes I cannot begin to explain
Now she lifts my spirit to fly on a new astral plane
After I fell I thought surely I'd never rise up again
I had not realized her poem spilled out of my pen
Until she sang with the voice of an angel in Zen
Perhaps she has grown from a garden lost in the snow
To remind me paradise is here so there's no need to go
