Foolish Ride
I'll look at you,
And know it's the wrong thing to do.
You smile and I wonder how it shines so big,
I have to remind myself again why I'm with him.
Sharp as a razors blade,
Harder than the summers rain.
Deeper than a babies cry,
Soothing the moment past the color of your eyes.
But,there it goes again,
The voice that repeats in my head.
-Take another hard fall on this foolish ride child,
It'll be alright after a while.
I'll tell you what you forgotten what happened back then,
And make you weak as you wonder what might have been.
Crashed into the waves as the wind picks up,
It was your mistake for telling him it was love.
Further down the line,
Did you like to see yourself cry?
Stairing in the mirror,
I feel so sorry for her.
Poor pitiful you,
All along you knew what to do.
But,you let temptation win,
Then you wonder...what might have been?
Take another trip through this foolish ride,
I'll take you to the past and let you decide.
I push the voice away,
And decide to listen to it another day.
I'll take my eyes off you for a moment,
To see how long it lasts,
Thinking about him,
As the minutes pass.
And know it's the wrong thing to do.
You smile and I wonder how it shines so big,
I have to remind myself again why I'm with him.
Sharp as a razors blade,
Harder than the summers rain.
Deeper than a babies cry,
