Hey Pepps. This is such an emotive subject that maybe objective critique is misplaced. But you asked me to stay honest and my honest feeling here is this comes across a little didactic and perhaps even invokes somewhat similar beliefs and zeal as ultimately caused 9/11. Talk about 'my Father' is going to alienate too many people for too many reasons.
My own two cents on evangelism of any kind is that I think 'He' is one those things you just can't 'tell' anybody about, same way as it's crazy to try and TELL anyone having kids is a great idea. Some things people just got to find out for themselves and, thankfully, most of them get there.
I reckon YOU have a real handle on faith, I recognized it almost immediately when you were being far more subtle than this, Honestly, I prefer it when you're being subtle, hinting and showing rather than telling. But like I said, this is a powerfully emotive subject and maybe your message of defiance is entirely appropriate on this day of days. My best to you and your countrymen. red

i agree red(T).. i like myself much more subtle.. likes to hide behind the truth as i know it. but at times my emotions get the better of me and i lash out.. cant help myself. though it is not my place to do so.. told my wife after writting this. the same exact issues you have expressed in this critique..
had to lookup 'emotive' and 'didactic' thank you.. enriches my vocab..
believe it or not i pulled my 'emotions' way back. i tend to get agressive when those i share a common faith with are looked upon as soft.. smdh.. they tend to be passive.. IM NOT!.. be it right or wrong..

Ha Ha! Shit, man, I reckon the reason I like you so much is you're just like me. Reasoned critique is one thing but the heat of battle/the moment is another and what I preach and what I DO are very different. I don't reckon you end up writing poetry unless you're passionate and passions are seldom reasonable, cool, calm or collected and I've gotten myself in more than my share of scrapes because of it. I very much doubt you're a real 'bastard' or 'monster' but I'm certain you can be a provocateur and even a trouble-maker. 'Ten paces then draw' showed your mettle on this score. showed my wife. she shook her head.. yeah redTbird.. we the same type of fucked up my friend.. hahaha..
truly only a bastard by its literal meaning or when i wanna be.. but really a gate keeper for a monster that i and the world have to appreciate me being married to a sharp woman. kids and have a relationship with what i know to be greater than me.. He and she keep me in check.. if not for them i would be a Monster of a Bastard.. lmao..
