David, when there are those which touch to make a heart ache in an icky way, I usually reply "eeesh" but it is never meant to be taken as "eeeesh what a shitty poem"....it is meant as "eeeesh, fucking all hell can I relate and feel these words..."

David....my Friend, the sorrow that flows, from your pen to page, is both poignant and perceivable. The emotions are so straightforward....through your words,I  experience the narrator's feelings of not only a painful loss, but--perhaps-- the inevitable recognition of defeat.

From a writer's/poet's POV,  It never ceases to amaze me, how often our intense, emotional attachment to another person, influences our creativity...sometimes with both negative, and positive results.And with these Haiku, it seems as if you may have been impacted by just such an experience.I am truly sorry for the hurt this caused, but--once again--you, have channeled your emotions into some remarkable pieces!
