Goodbyes

You're crying in the dark
Screaming this just isn't right
I say it was for the best
All we did was fight

You grabbed me by my arm
As I turned to walk away
You look at me with pleading eyes
And beg for me to stay

I shake my head and say
Sorry but I must leave
I just can't go on
Pretending that we're happy

Then you smacked me
And my vision became a blur
You yell at me saying 'youre only
Acting like this because of her'

I calmly reply to you
'Dont hate her because you didn't care
She loves me for who I am
And hurt me she wouldn't dare'

I see the blank look
That takes over your eyes
I walk out the door
Finishing our goodbyes
