The FIres Of War

Shadows burned on the ground by the flash so bright
Ashes blown away on wind so strong
Fire cooks the ground to an icy sheen
Where the warheads burst everything’s gone
The time for fear of what might come to pass
Has passed with the radioactive blast
And those who have died never knew they had
It all happens oh so fast
It’s never happened before on American soil
And it won't happen this time either
The Koreans all will burn and boil
The fires of death come to meet them all
On a wind of hell bound fury
Each poke they take at the eagle’s pride
Is a step toward their doom
Thinking you’re causing fear on the mainland
Is a mistake you just make once
The end is drawing ever near
You can’t scare the man with the bigger stick
Even with a weapon so fearsome
Will the fires come to burn as hot as the sun
Or the diplomats get a chance
You can only poke so many times
Let’s hope the next isn’t their last
They’d better learn to talk
Or they’ll learn to die
Let the men who speak instead of fight
Get their chance to stop this madness
The world is crazy enough
