The last two lines have a wonderful dark, dry wit, and the poem as a whole is steeped in absolute isolation and loneliness and despair, forcing us to empathise with the condemned soul.

My biggest fear as far as  meds are concerned.  Cleverly expressed

This really struck a chord with me - over the last four years I have ran the gauntlet of meds, from drinking liquid morphine like soda to heavy sedation and chemical cosh anti depressants, oxycontin etc,. I now do my research and do not accept any meds recommended that affect my quality of life and mind - it's a hard struggle

this powerful short reminded me why I have to fight :-) Massive HUGS!
