Shut Up And DIe
This is Canadian medicine
So just take a number
And try to bleed quietly
Nobody will talk to you
Since you most likely won’t die
So just sit and wait your damn turn
Thank god I couldn’t breathe
I got to bump the queue and be close to the front
But close is not treated
So just pass out like a good boy
And if you die they just say to go home

You’re lucky they’ll see you at all

Oh my heavens John...this stole breath from me! How terrible...meaning the circumstances, not the ink of course...sadly enough the same is here in the states, st least here in NY anyway, only you get a bill for $2000.00 for the same treatment.

As a Canadian, I completely understand what you mean. My parents and I have had to go to the ER for different reasons. I was the "lucky" one because I only had to wait 4 hours before the doctor saw me. My poor parents had to wait on average 9 hours, and this was because they kept on pestering the nurses to let them through. Despite our "universal healthcare", it's still got flaws, and the horrible waiting hours do actually kill patients, especially the elderly ones.
Great way to bring this important situation to light.
