I Want Into Your Heart
Sitting here alone, all these miles away
All I can think about is taking off your negligee`
But love can't survive on lust and passion
For they are no more than a temporary sensation
Your pants can wait, I want into your heart
Love takes its own sweet time and my heart has had a head start
I'll never push you into anything
I'm in to making love in love; I don't want a one-night fling
To feel your heart beating in sync with mine
Can only be accomplished if we let our love combine
I hope the void isn't too far to cross
Let's go away together and make up for all we've lost
It's all my fault, this ever growing void
Considering all the days and nights we could have enjoyed
If I had wings I'd fly my way across
I'd hold on to you till my lips were covered with your lip-gloss

I wrote this just a few weeks after the "Friendship Is Fine" poem. Neither one worked on her and after 7 years and 40 poems, she said she never wanted a nice guy like me, so she married a typically violent guy who ended up in prison for several years. Now they are divorced, gee, I coulda told ya that was coming. Let me see, nice guy who writes me love poems, scum bag who beats me and goes to jail, hmm, this is an easy choice, wife beater beats out nice guy every time. Could someoone please explain this to me? I JUST DON'T GET IT! But I hear the sex is great...
Does anyone teach a class on how to be mean and nasty and beat women? I should sign up, I am tired of being alone.

Thank you for commenting fcxx, glad you like it. It's easy to write whem the words are all rolling around inside, waiting for my brain to sort out what my heart pushes through my veins. jj
