It was never yours or mine
We had it just on rental
Despite us acting mental
I’m for Brexit, I’m for Trump
Hilary Clintons a crooked hump
I’d vote Clinton in with ease
Trump is like mad cow disease
Fascists to the left, fascists to the right
ANTIFA is talking shite
Republycans and Democraps
Mexican wall made with tortilla wraps
Healthcare just a windpipe dream
I’ve got mine, fuck your team
Blame the rich, fuck the poor
Take a Belsen guided tour
Care not a jot
Just don’t get caught
The rich elite are lifelong friends
Corporate lawyers make lives end
Bombing brown folks, just a game
Hating white folks, just the same
I’m for torture and Jihad
I’m for nuking old Baghdad
Kim Jon Un just has to die
Shoot anyone for asking why
Ignorant people with stupid faces
Humans are all basket cases
We are a species of distinction
The final solution; total extinction
It should all matter to me and you

I will sadly admit I am one of those peeps that stays out of politics under the believe my thought or opinion doesn't matter but I always love to see your thoughts because they're many times the same as mine...confirms I'm not nuts...lol

David, i admire your ability to create a poem that presents the current, intense issues affecting not only my country, but globally as well, while still finding just the right places to incorporate your wonderfully wry wit...indeed--" Trump like mad-cow disease..."Democraps and Republycans--( maybe should be Republycan'ts? (hee! Hee! ;) ) ....even the sarcasm in your title.
It's truly tragic how all across my country, and throughout the entire world, such horrible, and heinous acts of violence, and hatred seem to be escalating at an alarming rate! You are so right..this fact should shake each, and everyone of us to our very cores!! It's time to get that proverbial clue!

I was attempting to straddle with a foot in either camp - in my experience the truth is always somewhere in the middle - compromise is vital for peace - you can't do that with a dogmatic mind :-)
