Perils Of My Deficiences

"Something in the way she moves"
George Harrison once crooned
and her presence touches me so
permanent indent on my pysche
while anything I can do is insignificant

I can't look away while she sways
in his arms waist connected to waist
whispers I can only imagine
responding to each other's groove
"she drives me crazy"

As wonderful as slow caresses can be
I am reduced to a surveyor
"oh I believe she is an angel
all the heaven I need to see"
before I summon courage she is gone

I am cursed with recessive reactions
after thoughts of images and my lack of assertiveness
washed clean from my mind
then I see her again
could it be "no ordinary love"?

Why does my Spock not mute my McCoy?
no longer the pangs of youthful spirit
how many lessons need I learn
to not lessen my self worth
"what a fool believes"
