Baby Blues
He wanted you from the start
I didn't
He loved you from the first heartbeat and never stopped
I didn't
Even as I lay screaming in labor I said awful things
He stood there and held my hand
While I cried because I made a choice too late
When they put you beside me after a C section
I fell in love with you and the way he looked at you
Now I'm staring into your pretty bright eyes
Wondering what I ever did to deserve to call you mine
Deep down all I feel is failure
Like I'll never be the mother you deserve
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
