my valhalla

i don't feel you anymore
i've gone away to worship
whiskey sunrises

you entered my Valhalla
& i died little deaths
as you came & went
taking pieces of me
trinkets to amuse yourself with

i was always a plaything
with not enough strength
to get up off my knees

whispered confessions
i uttered in screams
& i sang in your opera of fear
as just one of the chorus

the cute little distraction
from the den of whores
you kept on the side
& you think i didn't know

as i performed purification rituals
you defiled our sanctity
in the slum cunts of this world

with that said
i'll take another drag off my cigarette
take a good hard drink
then snuff out your memory
with the rest of the butts
