A Flare for the Modern Romance

He said before he left
to leave the door ajar
Keep the flares unboxed
Just incase
To light them up if i was
in distress on those long
days & nights
He said before he left
not to let the pen dry up
To keep the ink bleeding
keep my thoughts flowing
He'd find them
If I needed him to know
my feelings
he'd feel them.
He kissed me before he left
Eight hours
Flares not touched
but my thoughts are flowing.
