Rooster
Having the sun-rays seen first
Humanity must be alerted of a new dawning
He had nested acrest the tallest pine
Eyes reaching home and away
Coo- kaa-doo-oo-doo-oo
Crowing, its nature alarm cutting into the silence of nights
Custodian of time, he’d set out early
Groping till darkness fades for the days breaking
More as streams of light cuts the misty cold morning
He jumped off his top,chested out, neck craning,coo- kaa……..
Re –arranging his colorful feathers, arms spreaded
He has the gait of a proud man, successful and healthy
From the corners of eyes, henny’s beautiful today
She’d defied advances, so he switched his charms
Voice croaking deep,generosity, sharing farmers corn
Feathers down,side-side moves, protection, wading rivals off
Henny closed enough, then in a striking moves, her crown
Shaky-shaky,sidey-sidey, to-fro montage, he jerked off mating
Feathers down,sidey-sidey moves, this time its of mockery
Akuko had gotten what he wants of henny
Having seen chicky far-off, he sped out in a hot chase
Things he’ll do till the time of the farmers knife.
