A chance to come
The sounds outside are gulls above the sea
And the pervasive growl, as tides roll in;
It almost drowns the chatter of nestlings,
Who cry just after dawn breaks, as hungry
For sated appetites as those whose glee
Pervades the bed inside. as they begin
The rock and roll that their copulating
Might be compared to were someone to see
Within and to forget the ribs of rock,
That have been stripped of sediment by waves,
Which crashed against them, sonorous, profound,
As is the strength with which those bodies lock
And love and lust all night, as each sex craves
A chance to come: sweet ululating sounds!
