One Day

Currently; we are swimming
In killer shark infested waters
We fear for sons and daughters
This time the fear is very real
Restricted in what we say or feel
I don’t want to make you paranoid
But all the sharks are annoyed
They are hungry and in waiting
On thin ice we are figure skating
The sharks will not be satisfied
Until all of our kith and kin have died
Their targeting is randomised
In fear we are pseudo paralysed
In the main from the neck up
We cannot sup from the cup
Many cannot see the sharks
For the floating jelly fish
And are destined to drift
Like shark bait get sniffed
Then get noisily torn apart
Like a sacrificial black art
And despite all the screaming
And poetic thinkers’ dreaming
In organised assassination schools
They teach us all a damn good lesson
That is too late to try to learn
Despite the warnings, stern
There will be no holy arks
One day: There will only be sharks
