WOMAN AND WINE

My best intimate memory
Is the glass of wine given me
By you in just your bare body
And killer heels, which looked kinky.
It went down so blood-warmingly.
It helped to keep the nerves steady
When we lost our virginity
On our honeymoon by the sea.
I got quite inhibition-free
To join you in your nudity,
Our love we made repeatedly.
You said I fitted "perfectly"!

Since writing this I recalled a line by German poet Goethe which was read out at a meal given by our German hosts when I visited a wine making village 25 yrs ago, which caused some laughter among the Germans to make me suspect it may have been referring to use as a sex aid: "Wine makes women happy - when their husbands have drunk it".
Ahhh . . . You did good by this, and all that wine you drank you were quite adventurous I'm thinking.
Fictional not autobiographical, but I concur with the spirit (so to speak) of your comment. I have done another poem, giving the title a 'II', which interprets the picture as a pre-oral sex gesture.
