[ Spiritual ] Life's Winners and Losers

           
If you think Life is a card game        
that can be won by adopting        
winning strategies        
       
then you've already lost        
       
A pot of wealth        
no more insulates you        
from being abandoned on        
poverty's doorstep than        
a torn blanket        
       
as you are always a simple        
series of unfortunate events        
away from being stripped of        
physical acquisitions        
       
So, curse the Powers that Be        
whatever gods on higher planes        
you deem responsible for insufferable        
conditions you continue to endure        
     
Get it out of your system        
now rather than later        
     
Purge these notions to Purgatory        
       
This world we perceive        
ourselves confined within        
is Hell on Earth        
when in blind acceptance of        
being only subject to pains        
be they in the form of  
randomly pointless hardships        
or punishments tailored fitted        
for crimes committed in        
ignorance  
sense of self preservation        
and even in Past Lives        
hidden beyond a seal        
       
believing we are not all        
created equal        
and thus incapable        
       
unworthy        
       
of experiencing Happiness        
in the form of fulfilled desires        
       
of receiving Love        
and Encouragement        
to pursue our dreams        
       
of receiving Forgiveness        
for mistakes made during        
personal realities created in haste        
       
Rise above        
       
Heal        
       
Waste not another moment        
playing with a deck stacked      
high in systematic abuses      
     
or on Karmic retributions---      
     
these are strictly reserved      
for those who deal misery daily        
without remorse        
without regret        
without a clue        
they are their own worst enemies
