DAYS LIKE THESE.
Azure blue skies, a soft cooling breeze
Oh how I love days like these
Unaware of people passing by;
Two young lovers gaze up into the sky
The tartan blanket lays neatly on the ground
They lie there together not making a sound
Side- by- side they hold each other tight
It truly is a beautiful sight
Wrapped together in a loving embrace;
He holds her close… kisses her face
They are both fixated, deeply in love
Bond together like a hand to a glove
A magical web of love is being spun
Entwined young lovers, as two become one
The love on their faces, so deep it shows;
That romance blossoms like loves young rose
In their own little world, that magical place
The universe slows down, runs at their pace
Oblivious to the noise of kids running about
They wouldn’t notice if war broke out
As they bathe in the sunlight of golden beams
They're lost in their own thoughts and dreams
He then pulls her in closer, she tucks herself in;
Deep into his neck, under his chin
Her fingers steadily stroke at his chest
His hand gently brushes her breast
He kisses her cheek, asks for no consent
She looks soothed, happy, so content
They've entered the realms of relaxation
Bodies subdued as though under sedation
In their own world, not a word spoken
A lover's spell never to be broken
