PUTTING THE LAUGHTER IN SLAUGHTER
I want to hear you laugh
I need to see you smile
You will, luv
Smile across the neck
This face beneath the paint
Is tattooed with the taint
I put laughter
In the slaughter
Your mothers and fathers
And your sons and daughters
We revel in joyous
Terror thereafter
Crack a smile and crack a jaw
Drink the bile and monkey paw
Eat the meat and wicked laugh
Devil staff and demon seed

On the floor and spread the joy
Tiger roar and little toy
Morbid grease and dirty socks
Music box and my disease

I need to see you die

Soon enough
Hop hip top and tip
Jump joy death and rip

Chain you down and gut

Your titles always Rock and draw me in, Hades, and excellent write as always ! A bit off topic, but I do have to say that just the title alone made me think of years ago when my daughter was born --she had a retinoblastoma in her left eye and we had to bring her for monthly eye exams in Boston where all the big guru doctors are. For babies , they put them under light anesthesia to get them to hold still for the exam, so each month for her first four years of life, we got real friendly with the operating room staff at Tufts, to the point where I'd gown up myself and carry my daughter into the OR suite. This was at the suggestion of the anesthesiologist because Liv would pitch a fit each time the staff tried to take her from me, so they had me come in and put the gas mask on Her myself then go back to the waiting room when she was out.
The anesthesiologist we had most of the time was a stunningly beautiful African American woman, who looked like a runway model . Her name was Dr. Slaughter....lol...I kid you not, it really was ! I used to laugh, thinking how Monty Python-ish it was to have an operating room doc named "Slaughter" !!! Lol lol --so there's your laughter in slaughter 😂
