Evanescent Pain
All you gave me
Was a half life
Full of fake smiles
And untrue love
Making me feel
Unworthy of
Any and all
All though
I've released your grip
Upon my life
I still feel the bruise
You left inside
I am slowly
Building my confidence
Becoming my own
Person again
Remembering who I was
Before you poisoned me
With your deceitful ways
My brain still battles
With itself
Telling me
What you once did
But soon I will erase
It all
Because those words
You spit
Do not exist
For they were lies
And I realize
I am worth so much more
Was a half life
Full of fake smiles
And untrue love
Making me feel
Unworthy of
Any and all
All though
I've released your grip
Upon my life
I still feel the bruise
You left inside
I am slowly
Building my confidence
Becoming my own
Person again
Remembering who I was
Before you poisoned me
With your deceitful ways
My brain still battles
With itself
Telling me
What you once did
But soon I will erase
It all
Because those words
You spit
Do not exist
For they were lies
And I realize
I am worth so much more
