Carnage Beneath

Though the sun was at shine
and light winds were blowing
those living there, felt
doom and foreboding

Sixteen steel steeds
of thunderous sound
cyclone like winds
and the shaking of ground

The collateral damage
caused only by man
brought upon those
who inhabit the land.

When all said and done
there's few places to hide
causing some of those left
to be eaten alive

Sometimes this happens
before passersby
for no other reason
than pleasing the eye

For the reasons above and
procrastination
I'll save 'til tomorrow
this ruination

Or as a reprieve
perhaps it will rain
cuz' mowing the grass
I find is in vain

and if not agreed
at least it's a pain
