Bottle and the syringe are empty
hope blown up
like the now useless vein
Food stamps secured preservative laden, GMO rich nourishment
all the ingredients difficult to pronounce
The tube presents another dose of reality driven drivel
over priced celebrities with all the advantages abusing life
Exporting steel that is the harbinger of technology out pacing the chords of empathy
cold calculations strangling
a very real family
The top of the chain content in a sea of indifference while ocean
levels rise
institutions of Ivy League saviors
declaring postulates about those so "inferior"
And "you, telling me things
you're gonna do for me
I ain't blind and I don't like what I think I see"
Try to twist and bend nature to our ever growing greed
while caging fellow humans in so many boxes
The deepest blow aimed at the soul and heartiness that has fueled so many distraught and undervalued to have some reason to find promise in the next day
Circles send us round and round
never summoning up the friction to break down cycles of injustice
"Mother there's too many of you crying
brother too many of you dying"
We have been fed all the pablum
and have been numbed to all the pain
and the drive to question may be the only thing stopping the world from flatlining
The wonder of youth turns to bitter regrets if the forces of separation run us out of engagement
So please hear the plea stop
mocking understanding while profits pad the fortunes of 500s
and the lobby with
If all you can be means I am must be hallowed out
"we all better check ourselves before we wreck ourselves
For I love a brilliant rainbow as much as anyone

Not that I was around in the 60's...but isn't it strange how so much evil and destruction has happened since those days of "promising change" ?
So many sold out, or grew too lazy for care...shutting off the mind and letting big business corrode the soul.
Moving Write Ted-very sad My Friend...at times I harp about the many asleep at the wheel, then in the corner of my eye I see there are still quite a few awake-Appreciate You Being one!!!

Last year's election reinforced a suspicion that those preventing any semblance of progress are just as entrenched on both the left and right. If other choices were viable I at least would have some tiny point of light but as it is, I don't see other parties doing much. Maybe a generation down the road but probably not in my lifetime. Thanks for the read!
