CRIMES OF CRUELTY

First blood was spilled on the steps of the highborn
Hallowing the ground for all to see
I was left to die for the glory of others
But I rose from the ashes surrounding me

That buried me

I writhe in the recess of the darkest plight
As a wyrm cast from Heaven’s own embrace
A father once so loved has become the bastard
Spit my faith back in my face

I once loved you most of all
Who knew having pride meant to fall
Spiraling through the clouds
Finally through eternity
Impacting underground?

This Hell has become home for fallen angels
Shunned by celestial ones sent to slaughter
Crimes of cruelty masked by a father’s love
Cast forth thy bastard sons and daughters

I once loved you most of all
Who knew having pride meant to fall
Spiraling through the clouds
Finally through eternity
Impacting underground?

I will suffer as a beast
The Lord of the Flames
I will spit in the eye of God
If I see your face again

Nothing will remain
In the grave the same
Except for the fact
That I am the bane

First blood was spilled on the steps of the highborn
Hallowing the ground for all to see
I was left to die for the glory of others
But I rose from the ashes surrounding me

That buried me

I once loved you most of all
Who knew having pride meant to fall
Spiraling through the clouds
Finally through eternity
Impacting underground?

I will suffer as a beast
The Lord of the Flames
I will spit in the eye of God
If I see your face again
