Unwelcome Spoils

Angelic though she seems
Her poison kiss is fatal
Her beauty is a dream
And scent more sweet than maple
At times her arms embrace
At others, armed with hate
Her vision of the future
Shows I arrive too late
What makes her this enigma
A brilliant but cold
Why she works hard for her figure
She knows she'll lose when old
A touch before my arrival
One not so permitted
Has led her down a spiral
Of crimes not yet committed
Her elegance is fragile
A touch could bring the break
She loves the air of love
But every touch is rape
We fight for close and feeling
But distance overcomes
We are never too revealing
But never come undone
Her bra strap on display
The world takes her for granted
But whenever we lay
We never get it started
So I grow colder still
Awaiting confirmation
To touch her brings a chill
So I make imitation
I long to take her gently
To bring her to the edge
But she fears for her gentry
Scorn when both in bed
How beautiful she is
How patient I once was
How can we both exist like this
When love for lust was lost
