The Pull
The bright lights of the city
Are enough to pull me in
The feeling of a magnets pull
To feel the city’s sin
Jump on the train to pass the miles
From bore into excite
In the steaming summer night
Beating heart begins to pound the rhythm of the night
Well into the spinning light show
The dancing people with the drugs and alcohol
Or onto the strip with all the jostling folks
With no real place to go they just want to meet and get to know
The others in the night
Pulled here by the city lights
Passing numbers and information
With all the people who catch your eye
Pressing flesh with the briefest hugs
You say hello and soon you have to say goodbye
Back to the suburbs on the train full of excited girls and boys
It’s a night like none they’ve had before
In the glow of the city lights
Their minds and hearts are filled with new delights
Repeat Chorus
Ends with
The glowing city lights
The glowing city lights
Repeat and fade
