Dreams Fade
"When the dreams fade away and
tomorrow becomes just another day"
Tomorrow's wishes blowing slowly back in
grasping frantically onto a worry free mind
trapped in time with Saturday's matinee
living out a faded black and white dream
Darkness slips the edge of night
shivers grab rough and take hold
motionless emotionless stares scare
and weary legs can never run away
Screams shrill from the morning sun
the light of another day awakened
tremors subside the shutters blind
broken pieces gathered and shined

There's a slight chill running up my spine over this one. I have to agree with Ben above...you are amazing at expressing emotion.

These two lines stood out for me:
"Tomorrow's wishes blowing slowly back" and "weary legs can never run away."
These lines are so poetic and convey so much emotion.
