Elevating My Mind

Subliminal shades invade my mind
I struggle to focus but it takes times
In the midst of my thoughts and dreams
Lay the messages of what I mean

My mind is wide, but the wise abuse it
They quote knowledge but fail to use it
Deceptive foods try to subdue me
Leaving messages of filthy debris

My mouth is open; my soul won't speak
The essence of my being remains weak
Stronger I elevate that's the only way
To the path I've chosen
But sometimes I may go astray

The realm I walk on is only a peek
of dimensions beyond that I seek
The entrance way is not a secret
But to view its jewels you must be worth it
