Take a breath
Take a breath and open your eyes,
Take a breath please don't cry.
Take a breath it's not that bad,
Take a breath I know it's sad.
Take a breath ignore her screams,
Take a breath she was only sixteen.
Take a breath and walk away,
Take a breath and forget what you've seen.
Take a breath and realize what you've done, you could have saved her but instead you had run.
Take a breath for you had run away from the girl who just wanted to be saved.
Take a breath for the girl who lost hers when you chose not to help and look the other way.

I do like this. It feels honest about all the the things that we turn a blind eye to everyday intentionally or unintentionally.
