[2017] The Conversation

and return to where    
the conversation began    
   
Pure logic, as the point of origin holds the DNA of the seed.

I tend to fall behind in conversations and end up scattering my DNA everywhere.  




Maybe that isn't the best choice of words.   

I rather find the imagery of tiny pirates popping up everywhere quite amusing myself.  
 
 
Perhaps that wasn't the best interpretation.

Your loose, conversational style is at its best here. The style works best in my opinion when the poem is relatively short, because it has more impact not having had a chance to let the reader become used to it. The last line of this piece is especially powerful; you've hit upon a really strong structure here, where the ending is seperated in size from the rest of the piece (where verses are quite a bit longer), and the lines rush towards their natural conclusion.

Oh, Jack, this tidbit I spit out of my pie hole is not worthy of such praise.    



 But I'll take what I can get.

I need to learn to find that reset button more often. I won't lavish you in praise, but this hit a sweet spot for me. Well done.

The elementary reader might take this poem as short and simple. it is anything but -- The more I reread it, the more textures and depths I found. great observation and great poem
