Sacrifice

She'd give up something for the simple sake
Of due consideration; let us make
Her surrender, as one, of course, possessed
With a desire to get quickly undressed
And, then, to offer sweet submission now,
To relinquish each holy cow (and vow)
She has stood by forever, but will waive,
When she's told, precisely, how to behave
By someone who can often make her cede,
But hears her out and, gently, helps her plead
For any chance to shed each single ounce
Of independence - she'd gladly renounce,
Yield, resign herself and abdicate,
Finding self-immolation rather nice:
A very pleasant, sordid sacrifice.
