Mutual Attraction
We've got a mutual attraction
And desires we try to satisfy
But I don't want that kind of action
Cause when true love is missing, so am I
The curves you move cause me distraction
And when I touch your smooth sensitive thigh
I feel your natural reaction
But when your love is missing, so am I
You fuel my fire with your lust potion
But girl I know how it feels to get high
There's no substitute for emotion

I love this, without love, sex can be meaningless and leaves us feeling empty and you have portrayed this beautifully.

I'd like to think that is true, but it seems that some feel sex is just a physical thing ment for pleasure. I much rather like the idea of sharing that pleasure with someone who I also share emotional embraces. Sometimes I wonder if those who never allow the heart to lead them to their partner have ever experienced the high that making love can bring. There is absolutely a difference, maybe some are afraid of losing that and so avoid it. I just want to find one that lasts, or maybe I have just fooled myself into believing I was in love and I really don't know what I think I know.

I don't know if it is erotic or not. I didn't intend it to be, but considering I wrote this poem over 30 years ago, I don't actually remember exactly what I was feeling. I feel as though I was trying not to be sexual with this on, emphasizing love instead of sexual desire, but that can itself be erotic to others who feel the same... thanks for commenting again, again...
