Unqualified - not for the Sexiest Man on DUP comp

Some women aren't attracted to the ones everyone else wants. Personally I've never went for the ones everyone thought were sexy or "cool". I went for the ones with a fucked up minded or that were more dorky than cool. Personality does count and your poetry reflects an awesome one. Stop beating yourself up :)

Well I can't get anyone else to beat me up, so somebodies gotta do it...  to be honest I was trying to be funny, as I was inspired by David Macleod's Truth and Lies, just in a different direction. Realistically though, what am I supposed to think of myself? A lifetime of being beaten down by life. I'm just piling on and joining the crowd because I have no fight left in me. The last time my personality attracted a woman she cheated on me with my best friend. That was 8 years ago. I'm 54 years old and nothing is going to change me now. All this personality has done nothing for me and as nice as it is to hear you compliment it, I still hurt inside. I feel like the only thing I have to look forward to is death and with my luck I'll live to be 108 just because God wants to double down on my misery. But on the bright side, everyone else can rejoice because they have at least another 54 years before the end of days... Having said all that, thank you for commenting Kitty. Sometimes I need your light to shine on me and knock some sense into me... JJ

Sexiest doesn't always win the girl or bring happiness, but heck what do I know...I am as sexy as a pineapple myself. Nobody falls in love with  that...:) Poetryman.

Thank you G! While those things are true, no one, not even my past girlfriends has ever said I was sexy. Now saying it in response to this poem is a nice thing to do, but would you say so if I hadn't written this? I can only live in fantasy land for so long and reality is a cold wasteland of loneliness in my universe. If there was an "unsexy" award, that's the one that I would win, with gold leaf clusters and purple flowers around the rims... But you get purple ((((hugs)))) for making me smile! JJ

Nobody loves ya? - I love ya - I have followed you since I joined DUP and I don't follow lightly, I must have a reason - I am sorry to say I don't find you sexy, I am sure you will be pleased at that. but don't do yourself down sexiness is relative and who knows the mind of women apart from women :-)
