among the waves

Crimsin, once again I really love this piece. This takes me to a place of calmness/sereneness. Amazing write and absolutely beautiful. The imagery, especially with the waves, really come alive.

I am going to spend some time at the beach in a couple of days, and this lovely poem makes me wish I was already there, preferably with no one else in sight. Unfortunately, there is little chance I'll have the beach to myself this time of year. For now, I'll just read your poem again and spend some time in the scene you've created.


One little suggestion: I think you could cut "It's" from your fourth stanza.

I read this and it made me think of a medallion I once owned.
It said
" those who have never seen themselves, surrounded by nothing but water, can never understand the world and the relationship to it"

I personally find my peace at the edge of the shore.

Dear one, between you and Zach and your beautiful words, I am beginning to feel a bit restored. This weekend I will be out in nature and until then, I'm going to hold these beauties close to carry me. I'm a forest girl, the ocean is too vast for me to be utterly comfortable.
