When Nature Calls

Come to me oh weary hearts
Dragged down by the day to day
Suits, ties and business casual
You’ve little time for refreshing play

Rest your bones beneath an old oak tree
Lay your heavy burden upon a creek side stone
Free your sole of confining footwear
Feel the moss on river rocks grown

Dip you toes into my rumbling stream
Cool water sends refreshing chills up your spine
The air is light and easy to inhale
Scented with just the right amount of pine

Distant calls from birds unknown
Cooing, cawing, as they fly along
Water splashes upon a river rock
Combine to make a glorious song

Release yourself into my majesty
Bask in the glory that nature made
All the blues and troublesome news
You will successfully evade

I have the cure, it can’t be bought
You’ll find comfort under my canopy
Come to me when you need healing
Natural forest therapy
