IT ALL EVENTUALLY RETURNS TO CADENCE

That picture on the wall
Where all my traumas are
But those were the good days
When things weren't the same
The face glaring back up at me
From the bottom of the well
My personal hell
And we are here now, souls defined
But not aligned
You're not alone
You're not a stone
And you're not special
You're a carpet
I wait for different colours
To show me what I'm missing

And all the sound has gone
I hear a different song
And all the world has gone
Am I still so wrong?

I'll bleed into the vial
Injected smile, drink up
Some people waste away
On these melancholy days
Where everything's the same
Another thrill to seek
While the heart is ever weak
A jog in circles 'round the corner
But in dimension two
The sphere is still a line
Quickly, before they see you
Just tell them you're still fine
Remember to smile
And laugh a while

And all the sound has gone
I hear a different song
And all the world has gone
Am I still so wrong?
And all the fear has gone
I promise, won't be long
And all the care has gone
Nothing to see here
Move along

Don't bother with the new
I've already heard that tune
