Just another Sonday

Rest child
for no other mother loves you
like I
paused you may find
sleeping eyes and broken heart
with this
life
in such
silence
the brightest moments
shine
yet hurt
utmost
winds bow
east to west
as the very trees
crack
split by indifference
May-apples
bloom
then shorn
the white flower
once present
disappears
by gale and falling rain

Leave me
my bed-time tales
Mother
detractors
sneer, claim them useless
equally deserted
they
play in
the yard of repeat
though it is
not
everything
I am made of
memories
my faithful
elephant
you are fed
how vast
the expansive room
you dwell
to every corner
and hopeless shadow
sleep
until tomorrow
that marrow
that faith
it seems
only I can see
the part
of You
that lives
on
worthwhile
