orchid's blood
a lonely orchid
seeped blood
in the garden
of despair
a dagger
maybe three
struck her side
the gods themselves
bore witness
to the treachery afoot
she was not prepared for war
planted in this place
she was to cast her light
so beautiful in her pain
she regained composure
grew spikes
between gritted teeth
she uttered
let the devil
come for me
I'm ready
I will not alter
bow & scrape
for the meager change
thrown at me
keep your pennies
I don't speak
your language
many rays still shine veiled
on this orchid
even deep underground

My fierce Girl comes out in this one...always strong and staying on top...so many great lines in here but these made me grin wildly....
