little one
I take refuge
among the great redwoods
I am heavy with child
she needs to be born
in His realm
a safe place
where the stalkers of the night
can't devour
before she is fully birthed
her light has been shining
from within my rounded belly
have you seen her?
glorious & brand new
she knows a language
foreign to me
slowly I learn her tongue
the little one has fought
to enter this world
there are guardians
deep within the forest
that understand
her musical mantra
she is here among you
chanting quietly
with such a loveliness
it would hurt your heart to hear
behold the child is born
with a fierceness I will
protect her right to be here
& I shall call her Alanis

This sounds like an ode the lovely Venus
as Jupiter awaits entry....
but my head is all over the place presently. lol
I think it's beautiful, forgive me taking this interpretation
away with me to cherish.
lovely work, dear Brenda xo

I thought I had commented on this, but . . . eh . . .
There is no warrior can compete with a mother's
love for, and passionate defender of her little one.
Nothing, I'm saying. To threaten a child is to
unleash a mother's wrath, and that isn't a smart thing to do.

I love that this could be left to interpretation by the reader. Such a beautifully soothing piece. To me it reads birthing of inner child and new beginnings. But that would be my own perspective. Regardless of intention, this is a lovely write, dark angel

cleverly ambiguous made me think of the discovery of an inner child held back and almost forgotten carefully released. I recognise this process :-)
