Further Below: II

`~,,~`

And but for bramble and broken stone

Here I lay, among the dead things

Underneath moss and bone,

Fearing that which comes to take me

To take me further, and further

Down below

Where cruel ones wait

Tumbling forward

Slothful, vengeful, malcontented

vile monsters of ash and hate

There is sulfur in the stale air

And gloom now surrounds me

And though I know my heart falters to failure

I still fear

And cringe at that which is before me

Layered in soot and black ash

Ringed in the most unholy of countenance,

My heart fails at its sight

They are coming for you

Tumbling forward from black sunken cracks and crevice

The abyss opens forward,

more foul than words could treasure

They are here
