Always a Child

Much of my life
You were a ghost
Absent
When wanted the most
My blood yours
But from a distance
Unavailable
Feeling resistance
Unsure of self
I tried moving on
Disassociation
Believing it wrong
So I chose
Preferred to pursue
Interaction
Began to ensue
Something was easier
Improving from nil
Instrumental
To my heart�s will
As time does tell
My faith revealed
Adoration
No longer concealed
With resilience
Portraying care
Undeviating
Always there
Evolved as my father
Of that I defend
Unexpectedly
You emerged as a friend

Very lucky to have this gift in the end.
I can relate to the first parts of this and the full circle ending feels complete.
