The last bag

She told me to grab her luggage
from baggage claim at the airport
she had 3 mammoth suitcases
packed with her failed aspirations:
tennis and skiing equipment, just some of the crap she
"intended" to use while on vacation...but never did.

I snagged her bags as they rolled out,
struggling to lift them off the conveyor belt
as I grunted my disapproval.
She sneered, "What kind of baggage is so heavy
that you cannot pick it up!"

I snapped, "Bitch, we have lots of heavy baggage
like those divorce papers I found 'half-ass hidden' in our
hotel room you never told me about...
the pool boy I know you've been screwing behind my back....
the 10-thousand bucks you blew on this wasted vacation...
and those 10 long-ass years I wasted with you!"

I left her luggage behind...walking away.

She then spewed at me with her annoyingly whiny 'baby-girl' voice,
"If you leave me here then whoooo's gonna pick me up?!?!"

I fired back, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a flying f**k!"
"You are one bag I'll never have to pick up again!"
