If I don't write with spirit then tell me what should i write

जोश में ना लिखूं तो क्या लिखूं    
जज़्बात छिपा लिखूं तो क्या लिखूं    
     
ज़िंदगी के दरमियाँ हैं मास'अले बहुत    
पर ज़िंदगी हरगिज़ ना मास'आला लिखूं    
     
मुहब्बत है कितनी उनसे मुझको ना पूछिए    
वो इंतेहा कहे मैं िबतिडा लिखूं    
     
मज़लूम बन खड़े हैं सिटमगर यहा आकेर    
मुलज़िम हुआ हूँ मैं क्या  फ़ैसला लिकखूं    
     
पागल हूँ मैं तो यारो शायर नही कोई    
शायरी को फिर क्यूँ मशघ्ला लिखूं!

jazbaat chipaa likhoon to kya likhoon    
   
zindagee ke darmiyaan hain mas'alay bohat    
par zindagee hargiz na mas'alaa likhoon    
   
muhabbat hai kitni unsay mujhko na poochiye    
wo intehaa kahay main ibtida likhoon    
   
Mazloom ban khaday hain sitamgar yahaa aaker    
Mulzim hua hoon main kya  faislaa likkhoon    
   
paagal hun main to yaaro shaayar nahi mai koee    
shaayree ko phir kyun mashghalaa likhoon!

jazbaat chipaa likhoon to kya likhoon    
   
جوش میں نا لکھوں تو کیا لکھوں    
جذبات چھپا لکھوں تو کیا لکھوں    
   
زندگی كے درمیان ہیں مس ’ الی بہت    
پر زندگی ہرگز نا مس ’ اعلی لکھوں    
   
محبت ہے کتنی ان سے مجھکو نا پوچھیے    
وہ انتہا کہے میں ابتدا لکھوں    
   
مظلوم بن کھڑے ہیں ستم گر یہاں آکر    
ملزم بڑا ہوں میں کیا فایسلا لکھوں    
   
پاگل ہوں میں تو یارو شاعر نہیں کوئی    
شاایری کو پِھر کیوں مشغلہ لکھوں    
   
جوش میں نا لکھوں تو کیا لکھوں    
جذبات چھپا لکھوں تو کیا لکھوں    
   
If I don' write with spirit then tell me what should i write    
write hiding emotions then  tell me what should i write?   
   
there are many a trials 'tween the ends of the life    
but life itself a trial-  that never would I write    
   
do not ask of me that how much do i love them    
they say when it is the end, beginning is what would i write    
   
they came, stood as victims, the oppressors gathered here    
an accused is what I am what judgement then could i write?    
   
a mad one is what i am no way am i a poet    
then why the hell poetry my business that should i write?    
   
If I don' write with spirit then tell me what should i write
