We Play Scrabble Everyday

She's in Maryland
I'm in NYC
Slow games on the tablet
Faster ones on the PC

We are evenly matched
I love beating her
She's a college Professor
I sell lumber

Somehow it feeds my ego
To beat someone smart
I'm okay smart
More instinctual though like a dog

We are older adults
We became adversaries, then friends
She spent a day in NYC last summer
We met for lunch and then walked around

She's divorced
I'm married
There's no monkey business going on
A wonderful friendship that's all
